Rocky’s Journey

Wednesday, July 11th, 2007

Rocky Hohn is a remarkable little young man who was
diagnosed at birth with Complete Di George Syndrome. In a nutshell it is a
terminal illness and means the sufferer basically has no immune system. The
only possible way a life can be saved is by giving the patient a “thymus”
transplant which at this stage can only be performed in the USA. Rocky lives in Melbourne and he and his mother, Amanda have been over in North Carolina USA forRocky to have the life-saving surgery.
Rockys A Little Fighter

Rocky will be returning home to Melbourne soon just
in time for his 1st Birthday and will continue to have treatment until the
transplant fully takes effect in his little body.

It has been a long tough road for this little man and
his family but hopefully now
he can now look forward to a healthy life ahead.

You can read about Rocky’s journey on his website
